After riding the cable car, I went to another part of town (Marina Bay) to check out 2012 River Hongbao which is a celebration of the Chinese New Year in Singapore. I went during the day and also took some pics later that night. Part of the festival was located on The Float which is the world’s largest floating stage. Marina Bay has a nice skyline in which The Marina Bay Sands hotel dominates the skyline. I will have more on Marina Bay in a future post.
Regarding River Hongbao, there were over 70 lanterns including, obviously, dragons due to the Year of the Dragon. There were performances, street food, and handicrafts. River Hongbao was OK but nothing special. Some pics are below:
